This 19th-century Gothic Revival boutique hotel blends the amenities and service of a luxury property with the ambience and charm of a small B&B. A short walk from the harbor, it's on the main road into town—but far enough out to avoid crowds. Rooms are gracious and quite large by island standards; the upper floors have dormer windows. Art and antiques help capture the island's rural, seaside charm, and many rooms overlook the spectacular gardens. Fishing trips and charters are available aboard the owner's 27-foot Boston Whaler. Full breakfast—organic and locally gathered—and lavish afternoon tea are included. The front porch, filled with flowers and rocking chairs, is a perfect spot for reading or relaxing.
