Fodor's Review

Owner-chef Jean Dupon has been serving classic French food since the late 1970s above the M.V. Bagel Authority at the upper end of Vineyard Haven's downtown. All this time, he's been consistently loyal to the French standards: frogs' legs, sweetbreads, lobster flambéed with calvados, chicken livers Provençale, and tournedos are among the entrées. Quail, venison, and duck are more unusual offerings. The decor is almost backyard casual, with a string of lightbulbs, hand-painted floral designs, and souvenir wine-bottle corks lining the walls.
