The Optimist Café

The Optimist Café Review

From the outside, this bold Gothic Victorian looks like something out of a Brothers Grimm tale, with its steeply pitched roof, fanciful turrets, frilly gingerbread trim, and deep rose-and-green paint job. There is a great selection for breakfast (served all day) and lunch, featuring traditional English fare like smoked fish dishes, curries, scones, and crumpets. Treat yourself to a ploughman's lunch, consisting of cheeses, chutney, and crusty bread.
