Dead of Night Ghost Tours

Whether you're into local lore or creepy tales of the paranormal, walking tours through Plymouth's historic areas are a great way to learn more about the town's past. The most popular offering from Dead of Night Ghost Tours is the Twilight Lantern Ghost Tour; there are also sunset cemetery tours and scavenger hunts for kids. The walks meet at Plymouth Rock; each lasts about 90 minutes. Choose from a 90-minute ghostly tour or a narrated history tour -- you even get to carry your own lantern -- with Colonial Lantern Tours (800/698-5636 or 508/747-4161. www.lanterntours.com. $15). The Ghostly Haunts & Legends Tour departs nightly from the John Carver Inn at 25 Summer Street; the history tour meets at 86 Water Street.
