Demarest Lloyd State Park may be hard to find, but it's worth seeking out for its long beach of soft, white sand on a sheltered Buzzards Bay cove. Behind the beach is a wooded area with picnic tables and barbecue grills. The bathhouse has restrooms and showers. In season (late May to early September) there are lifeguards, and parking is $8 a day.
