Popponesset Inn Review

The surroundings, more so than the lobster rolls, burgers, grilled swordfish, steaks, and other straightforward offerings, are exceptional here. The site is a gem, with old Cape Cod saltbox houses nearby, lovely Nantucket Sound in the background, and perfect light in the evening. The restaurant has a lounge called Poppy's and comprises several small dining rooms, some with skylights and others looking over the water through glass walls. Sit outside, either under the tent or at one of the umbrella tables. You can dance to a band on some weekends.
