Sam Diego's Review

The bar has a busy social scene, and the menu has satisfying—if predictable—Tex-Mex burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. Crispy deep-fried ice cream served in a giant goblet is a house favorite; the margaritas, which come in several flavors, are another crowd-pleaser. The prop-shop furnishings may be a little cheesy—sombreros, Aztec birds, and the like—but the place is fun, friendly, and popular with families. Fodors.com reader Brewsterskip advises: "Don't fill up on the great free salsa and chips because you need room for a good meal." Weekday lunch options include an all-you-can-eat chili-and-taco bar, and dinner is served nightly until midnight.

    A Good, Safe Bet

The Mex in their Tex-Mex is run-of-the-mill but still worth eating. I haven't been able to find the "Tex" psrt on the menu, save for their BBQ ribs which are outstanding. The portions are large and the prices vey reasonable. We eat there about 4 times a year and have never had poor or even mediocre service. The dining rooms are large enough to handle a very busy tourist (and local) crowd. Parking is abundant and the bar bill won't break you. A word of caution...don't fill up on the great free salsa and chips because you need room for a good meal. You won't be unhappy eating there.

    Touristy Tex-Mex

Very touristy spot serving forgettable Tex-Mex standards -- not the least bit authentic, along the lines of places like El Torito and Chevy's, and maybe not as good. Better as a bar hangout than a food destination.
