Inn on the Sound
At a Glance
- Grand water views and nearness to beach (towels and chairs provided), quiet, elegant setting
Pros
- Not an in-town location, must drive to area restaurants and attractions
Cons
Inn on the Sound Review
At this understated but stylish inn, perched on a bluff overlooking Vineyard Sound, the living room and most of the guest rooms face the water. Most have queen-size beds, and all contain unfussy contemporary furnishings such as natural oak tables, unbleached cottons, ample shelf space, and ceiling fans; four have private decks. Common areas include an art-laden living room with a boulder fireplace, oversize windows, and modern white couches; a bistrolike breakfast room; and a porch with more stunning water views.
