$$-$$$$, American, Provincetown
Fodor's Review:
This unassuming, tiny white cottage -- with a dining room that seats just 42 lucky patrons -- serves up some of the best food in town. Specialties from the oft-changing menu include pan-seared halibut with caramelized orange glaze, black rice, and sautéed beet greens; and free-range seared duck with a Syrah reduction, red-onion marmalade, and couscous primavera. Another plus is their great little wine list. Be sure to save some room for knockout dessert selections like blackberry mousse over ginger-lemon polenta cake with wildberry coulis. Devon's also serves up a terrific breakfast each day until 1 PM, where you might sample truffle cheese-and-baby spinach omelets with rosemary homefries. Hours are limited in May and October; it's best to phone ahead.
