Van Rensselaer's
Van Rensselaer's Review
This cavernous, casual family seafood restaurant across from Marconi Station—not too far from the Eastham town line—stands out for its nice mix of traditional standbys (baked-stuffed lobster, prime rib) and more creative offerings. You might start with coconut tempura shrimp with an orange-ginger sauce or steamed littleneck clams with lemongrass-ginger-soy butter. Favorite main dishes include potato-crusted salmon with lobster-butter, and cranberry-orange duck with sweet-potato puree. Lighter and more affordable fare is available from a bistro menu. The restaurant also serves breakfast as well as an excellent Sunday brunch, where you might try smoked salmon Benedict. The same family has run the place since 1968.
