Coonamessett Farm

Fodor's Review:

Coonamessett Farm operates a farm store where you can assemble your own gift baskets or purchase produce and specialty foods, as well as a small café serving soups, salads, baked goods, and beverages. Members of the farm's Pick-Your-Own club ($15-per-year membership; non-Cape residents can buy a one-day membership for $5) can pick strawberries, lettuces, herbs, rhubarb, and other fruits and vegetables. Members can also tour the greenhouses and fields, learn about hydroponic-growing systems, and visit the animals (call ahead to arrange tours). The farm also rents canoes for use on the adjacent Coonamessett Pond. On Friday nights in summer, don't miss the wonderful organic vegetarian-buffet dinners with live music.
