The Woods Hole Historical Museum (formerly known as the Bradley House Museum) is a three-building complex that houses paintings, a restored Woods Hole Spritsail boat, boat models, and a model of the town as it looked in the 1890s. One room is filled with elegant ladies' clothing from the late 1800s. The archives hold old ships' logs, postcards, newspaper articles, maps, diaries, and photographs; more than 200 tapes of oral history provided by local residents; and a 100-volume library on maritime history. Free guided walking tours of the village depart from the museum, which is across from the Martha's Vineyard ferry parking lot, Tuesday at 4 in July and August.
