Clem & Ursie's

Fodor's Review:

It's worth the short drive or long walk from downtown to sample the tantalizing seafood prepared at this colorful café, grocery market, cocktail bar, and bakery. The mammoth menu touches on just about every kind of food from the ocean: tuna steaks, crab claws, squid stew, Japanese baby octopus salad, hot lobster rolls, lobster scampi. The Buffalo shrimp are addictive, and be sure to try the Portuguese clam pie. A nice range of nonfishy items is offered, too, from pulled-pork barbecue to bacon cheeseburgers -- plus great desserts like pistachio cake and stuffed ice-cream sandwiches dipped in chocolate. You order and pay at the counter and grab a seat inside the decidedly casual dining room; they bring your chow out to you. The market has the best selection of cheeses in town plus countless seafood items, oils and vinegars, and gourmet goods.
