Scargo Pottery is in a pine forest, where potter Harry Holl's unusual wares -- such as his signature castle birdhouses -- sit on tree stumps and hang from branches. Inside are the workshop and kiln, plus work by Holl's four daughters. With luck you can catch a potter at the wheel; viewing is, in fact, encouraged.
