Why We Like It
Staying at the Woods Hole Passage is like staying at a friend’s home, albeit one who anticipates your needs, cooks you breakfast, is as green as can be and has an awesome yard. Its location is convenient to both Falmouth and Woods Hole, with restaurants, shops and beaches, but its two-acre yard and gardens are a lovely place to relax, too, with lawn chairs, games and a hammock. The innkeepers have beach chairs, towels, toys, boogie boards and other beach gear to borrow.

A century-old carriage house and barn have been converted into a beautiful five-guestroom showcase. One guest room is in the main house; the others are in the restored barn, where the upstairs rooms have soaring ceilings. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast on the lovely patio; early risers can request \"breakfast-in-a-bag\" to take on the road. It is set on two acres of landscaped grounds, with shade trees, flower and herb gardens and an ornamental pond.
You Should Know There’s a two-night minimum on weekends year-round, except for July, August and holidays, when there is a three-night minimum.

Room
All five rooms (whimsically named One Fish, Two Fish and so on) have queen size beds, small sitting areas and private bathrooms. The décor is warm and bright and the rooms are comfortable and cozy. There are no televisions, but there is free WiFi.
Tip Unlike many B&Bs, kids are welcome. The Five Fish room is separate from the other guest rooms and is perfect for a couple with younger kids. The inn can provide an in-room Pack ’n’ Play, baby monitors, buckets and board games.
Bathroom
All the impeccably clean bathrooms have showers only.
Lobby
A large and comfortable common room with a fireplace has plenty of seating, including couches, armchairs and rockers.
Dining
The delicious complimentary breakfast includes dishes like homemade crepes and almond-infused French toast, as well as juice, coffee and tea. If you have an early start, the inn will set you up with a “breakfast-to-go” bag with yogurt, cheese, fresh fruit and home-baked goods.

Getting Around
A member of the Green Hotel Association, the inn encourages guests to leave their cars in the lot as much as possible; the town trolley runs right by the inn. The inn also has four adult-size bicycles available to borrow.
Restaurants
The Bear in Boots Gastropub (4-minute drive) is known for its from-scratch approach. Everything from butchering meats to baking bread, to drink mixes to ice creams, and even condiments, is done in-house. Dishes include burgers, lobster pot pie, marinated steak tips and more. The Quarterdeck Restaurant (3-minute drive) is a local landmark and has been serving up local seafood, steaks and more for over 40 years.
Bars
The Flying Bridge (7-minute drive), overlooking the harbor, is a popular choice for drinks. The C Salt Wine Bar & Grille (7-minute drive) is another favorite. Anejo Mexican Bistro (4-minute drive) has a tasty a la carte margarita menu.
