Hyannis Inn Motel

473 Main St., Hyannis, Massachusetts, 02601, USA

The main building of the second oldest motel in Hyannis, a modest two-story spread, served as press headquarters during JFK's presidential campaign. Today, it's right in the heart of the downtown shopping and retail action. The main building's immaculate (though somewhat dated) guest rooms have double, queen-size, or king-size beds; some have whirlpool tubs. Other deluxe rooms in a separate wing out back are larger, sunnier, and quieter (they don't face Main Street) and have queen- or king-size beds. The restaurant serves breakfast only (not included).

PROS

  • in the thick of downtown
  • spacious rooms
  • nice outside sundecks for relaxing

CONS

  • not a beachfront spot
