Contact the city and state tourism offices for general information, details about seasonal events, discount passes, trip planning, and attraction information. The National Park Service has an office where you can watch an eight-minute slide show on Boston's historic sites and get maps and directions. The Welcome Center, Boston Common Visitor Information Center, and the Cambridge Tourism Office offer general information.

The site for Boston's arts and entertainment weekly, the Boston Phoenix, has nightlife, movie, restaurant, and arts listings. The Bostonian Society answers some frequently asked questions about Beantown history on its website. The iBoston page has some wonderful photographs of buildings that are architecturally and historically important. Bostonist, The Improper Bostonian, and WickedLocal provide a more relaxed (and somewhat irreverent) take on Boston news and information.
