Menton Review

Located in the forever up-and-coming Fort Point neighborhood, Barbara Lynch's latest Italian-meets-French eatery, named for a French town near Italy's border, has two luxurious, prix-fixe menus (a four- and seven-course) that have brought critics and food aficionados to the brink of euphoria with sighs of "incredible" and "perfection." And, for good reason. Reflecting what's freshest that day, the four-course menu might begin with a seafood-enriched butter soup, peak with fork-tender veal with escargot, and end with an apricot-garnished sticky bun; the seven-course menu is a bespoke meal composed from the day's list of 15 or so ingredients. If you want to up the ante to your evening, reserve the 12-seat chef's table in the kitchen, an enclosed area with a glass wall offering a sneak peak into the restaurant's inner culinary sanctum.
