Foodies have been plotzing over Barbara Lynch's newest Italian-meets-French eatery, named for a French town near Italy's border. Located in the forever up-and-coming Fort Point neighborhood, this prix-fixe establishment has brought critics and food aficionados to the brink of euphoria, with sighs of "incredible" and "perfection" for the four-course meal (there's also a seven-course chef's-tasting menu) that might begin with a chestnut bisque, peak with a perfectly prepared venison, and end with a cranberry-walnut crepe. Menus change regularly to reflect the season's ingredients, and meals can be complemented with expertly chosen wine pairings by request. There is now a tasting menu as well. Jackets are recommended but not required.
