The menu at this regional restaurant reaches from Sindh to Bengal, with some strength in the western provincial foods (Gujarat, Bombay) and their interesting sweet-hot flavors. Baigan bhurta is a platter of grilled, mashed eggplant; the rice dishes, chais, and breads are all excellent; and the lunchtime buffet is usually a quick in-and-out affair. The spicing starts mild, so don't be afraid to order "medium."

A very good place for Indian food, with some dishes not always encountered locally. Food's excellent, service can be spotty, decor is grubby at best. Still, one of the best such options in the area.

Honestly I don't go to Indian restaurant's because I am Indian and I know what the food is suppose to taste like. But Tanjore matches or exceeds (sorry Mom) my Mom's cooking bit for bit. The best Indian restaurant that I have ever been too. The service is flawless and quick. The atmosphere is intimate. You don't have wait to get a table and the value is extraordinary. Their menu selection is from all regions of India and seem endless. If you
don't know Indian food but would like try it, don't worry the waiter will help you make a selection.
