The tables are small and the service is casual, but the relatively inexpensive New England menu speaks to the young, artistic community that now claims the neighborhood. Wellfleet clam stew with white beans and chorizo is a highlight from the menu, which mostly features modern comfort fare. An emphasis on microbrews and cocktails (the latest owner is a whiz of a bartender) gives this restaurant a relaxed and neighborly bar-scene air.

A party of six, we had dinner at Green Street Grill last Sat. After paying, we were expelled from the dinner area unless we wanted to pay 5.00 to remain there, as it would become a live music place after midnight. Our dinner bill was almost 300.00, and no info was given prior to us having dinner about that interesting arrangement. To top the cake, I paid 80.00 as my share of the bill (18% tip included in the check already) and my bank statement
today read a 96.00 charge!! All this is a shame for such a good cuisine restaurant...

When missing the carribean, stop here for a bite. Great casual joint, friendly service, and excellent menu make a great mix. Conch fritters are just as good here!
