Inn at Harvard Review

You don't have to be an alumnus to enjoy the handsome, hushed elegance of this hotel, which borders Harvard Yard and has a Georgian-style brick exterior that mirrors many of those on campus. The updated guest rooms have classic furnishings in black, brown, and neutral fabrics, and spiffed-up bathrooms with new fixtures, tubs, and showers. Oversize windows frame views of Harvard Square or Harvard Yard and help give rooms a bright, cheerful feel. The skylighted atrium lobby is studded with sculptures and fine woodwork. The comfy, albeit a tad stuffy, meeting space is a hangout for Harvard executives and visiting parents.
