Hyatt Regency

$$-$$$, Cambridge

Fodor's Review:

A dramatic ziggurat, this aging Hyatt is built around a central 16-story atrium. It's a magnet for wedding parties and group functions and the location is a bit out of the way; long walks or taxis are required to get around to top sites and attractions. But you can't beat the stunning views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline. Rooms that end in 06 have a river view and an interior balcony overlooking the atrium. For a small additional fee, add a large external private sundeck. Pros: Nice views from most rooms, look for bargain-basement Internet rates, large pool area. Cons: It's time to put some money into this has-been property, rooms need major freshening and updating, some bathrooms are shabby and out-of-date.
