Fodor's Review:

If the idea of sleeping in an upscale shopping mall appeals to you, meet your new favorite hotel. The Westin has its own pod of retail shops, including the top-notch Grettacole Spa, plus it's connected by a covered skywalk to Copley Place (high-end shopping) and the Hynes Convention Center—a real treat in the winter. They've just launched the Westin Unwind program here, so you can see cooking demos and the like from Tuesday to Saturday. The top-floor rooms of this contemporary 36-story hotel have some of the best views in Boston—of the Charles River, Copley Square, the South End, Back Bay, and Boston skylines (especially gorgeous when a-twinkle at night). No surprise that business travelers and visiting families love this place, especially when you factor in the pool, fitness center, and the fabulous Copley Square location. Guest rooms are awash in beiges, dark greens, and blues, with wildly comfortable beds and plush linens. For dining, you can't go wrong with a meal at Turner Fisheries Bar and Restaurant (don't miss the award-winning clam chowder). Check the Starwood Web site for promotional rates. Also stay on July 4 and get amazing views of the fireworks over the Charles River. Pros: great location, great views, clean, spacious rooms. Cons: big and busy-feeling, pool area is nothing special, some say it's overpriced.
