It's busy-busy, with throngs of tourists and their offspring, but you can't beat the location and the amenities of this 38-story "megahotel." To give you a sense of the size of this one, you can enter three ways: from the street-level lobby, a glass sky bridge from the Prudential Center-Hynes Auditorium complex, or the Copley Place shopping mall. (The Westin hotel also connects to Copley Place.) It's great in bad weather; you barely need to go outside. Rooms are generic Marriott with flat-screen TVs; the best ones overlook Boston Harbor or the Charles River. Readers praise the spacious guest rooms as "above average for the price," and give the hotel high marks its friendly staff, great sports bar, and awesome location, while others complain about long waits at the elevators, "factory-like" feel, and a kiddie-crowded swimming pool. One person's "lively buzz" is another one's "too crowded," something to keep in mind as you weigh the merits of this one against the Westin Copley Place (753 rooms) and others in the neighborhood. Pros: exceptional service, plush beds, great location between two shopping malls. Cons: crowded pool area, chaotic lobby, housekeeping not always up to par.

Great location, nice rooms, and seems to care about the customer.
