A roar of approval went up when this cavernous Back Bay space opened. It's faded into a loving hum but the noise remains. This is a sexy space filled with well-heeled locals (some live in the gorgeous apartment building above it) who come for the modern twist on basic Italian dishes. Crudo, carpaccio, and arancini dot the list of starters while handmade ravioli with toasted chestnuts and pappardelle (wide, flat noodles) with braised rabbit take the spotlight. Desserts are a highlight, especially the orange panna cotta, a silky, eggless Italian custard.
