This tiny oyster bar, the first of its kind in the neighborhood, has only 20 chairs, but the long marble bar has extra seating for about 20 more patrons and mirrors hang over the bar with handwritten menus. From there, watch the oyster shuckers as they deftly undo handfuls of bivalves. The plateau di frutti di mare is a gleaming tower of oysters and other raw-bar items piled over ice that you can order from the slip of paper they pass out listing each day's crustacean options. And the lobster roll, hot or cold, overflows with meat. Service is prompt even when it gets busy (as it is most of the time). Go early to avoid a long wait.

The best place in Boston to get seafood, has great chowder as well as hot or cold lobster rolls. Plenty of wine and beer options to go with the food. Smallish space but has a friendly, casual feel. Not a bargain seafood shack in decor or prices, but the finest option in Boston for fishy goodness.

This restaurant is tiny so you don't want to go at a popular time. Excellent quality raw bar and delicious interesting seafoood dishes. Excellent wine list as well. Charming atmosphere but be prepared for it being loud. Not particularly Italian although it is Italian and in the North End.
