Courtyard by Marriott Boston Brookline

Fodor's Review:

If you enjoy the anonymity and predictability of a chain hotel and don't mind an outside of Boston location, this is a decent choice. The hotel is popular with families of students at nearby colleges—there are about a dozen schools within 5 mi of here, including Boston University and Boston College—who like the fact that they can treat the kids to dinner at one of several funky Coolidge Corner eateries, then unwind in the indoor pool and hot tub or hit the small gym. The T is right outside the door, as are 15 or so restaurants. (An on-site eatery is open for breakfast only.) And in the Stuff You Won't Find Everywhere Department: rooms with Sabbath locks on the door for Jewish guests. This property is also more child-friendly than some; ask for the two-room suite or one of the seven "extended king" rooms. Pros: indoor pool, close to T station, 1 mi from Fenway Park, roomy bathrooms. Cons: staff can be indifferent.
