American Repertory Theater

American Repertory Theater Review

American Repertory Theater stages experimental, classic, and contemporary plays, often with unusual lighting, stage design, or multimedia effects. With new director Diane Paulus bringing in immersive theater performances, like The Donkey Show and Sleep No More (where audience and actors interact), the A.R.T. is selling out shows at its multiple venues. Its home at the Loeb Drama Center has two theaters; the smaller also holds productions by the Harvard-Radcliffe Drama Club. A modern theater space down the street, called Oberone, has a more flexible stage design for electrifying contemporary productions.
