$$$, Beacon Hill
Fodor's Review:
Two 19th-century town houses have been meticulously renovated to house this intimate boutique hotel on Beacon Hill. You can't beat the location on Charles Street, one of the city's premier addresses, within walking distance of the Public Garden, Back Bay, and Government Center. Minimalist-style rooms are individually decorated with soft neutral colors and plush bed linens. Rooms have plenty of natural light filtering through the large windows overlooking city streets. There's a rooftop deck for lounging and a popular street-side bistro with fireplace and bar that's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Pros: Beacon Hill location, with boutiques and restaurants within walking distance, parking available at nearby Boston Common garage. Cons: Rooms are small.
