Harvard Art Museums

Harvard Art Museums Review

The artistic treasures of the ancient Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans are a major draw here. Make a beeline for the Ancient and Asian art galleries, the permanent installations on the fourth floor, which include Chinese bronzes, Buddhist sculptures, Greek friezes, and Roman marbles. Currently, the Sackler is the only one of the university's art museums open to the public. The Busch-Reisinger and Fogg museums closed in 2008. At present, visitors to the Sackler will enjoy a sampling of works culled from both. In 2013 the combined collections of all three museums will be represented under one roof under the umbrella name Harvard Art Museum. Works include Picasso, Klee, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Manet.
