Arthur M. Sackler Museum

Fodor's Review:

The artistic treasures of the ancient Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans are a major draw here. Make a beeline for the Ancient and Asian art galleries, the permanent installations on the fourth floor, which include Chinese bronzes, Buddhist sculptures, Greek friezes, and Roman marbles. Currently, the Sackler is the only of the University's art museums open to the public. As of June 2008 the Busch-Reisinger and Fogg museums are closed, in the throes of major renovations spanning about five years, At present, visitors to the Sackler will enjoy a sampling of works culled from its art museum siblings. Eventually, the combined collections of all three museums will be represented under one roof under the umbrella name, Harvard Art Museum. Works include Picasso, Klee, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Manet.
