Meritage

Meritage Review

Set inside the stately Boston Harbor Hotel, Meritage stays focused with its astounding wine list. Chef Daniel Bruce creates scintillating menus to match the cellar's treasures (arranged, appropriately, like a wine list, with headings like "full bodied" and "sparklers"). All menu items are available as small or large plates, and priced at $17 or $34 respectively. With the stunning Rowes Wharf as its backdrop, Meritage has, perhaps, the city's finest waterfront view.

Not quite the equivalent of the very best hotel restaurants locally, but still good, with excellent service and a nice view of the water. Expensive, mainly known for worthwhile smaller plates and wines. Dress up and make reservations beforehand.
