One of Chinatown's best restaurants turns out a remarkably fresh and creative raw-fish menu. The kmeeks maki is a roll of crab-stick tempura, grilled eel, cucumber, avocado, and roe. For something equally fresh but much simpler, opt for the sashimi appetizer—small, gleaming slabs of maguro (bluefin) tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. Cooked foods are also available, but sushi is the real star. Late night, the room feels even more like Tokyo: waitresses in kimonos flit from the sushi bar to tables at top speed, and Japanese-American club kids table-hop and flirt. There's another location in Brookline.

One of Boston's best sushi options, and the finest such place in Chinatown. OK decor and service.
