Hotel Commonwealth Review

Rumor has it that Bono and the Boss have walked the hallways of the Hotel Commonwealth. So have a host of local celebs and visitors intent on branching out of the downtown Boston hospitality scene. Luxury and service without pretense makes the hip spot a solid choice. Rich color schemes enhance the elegant lodgings, and king- or queen-size beds are piled with down pillows and Italian linens. All rooms have marble baths, floor-to-ceiling windows, separate work areas, and flat-screen TVs. The wildy accommodating staff and chauffeur are added bonuses. In-house Eastern Standard and the Hawthorne serve up some of the best old-school cocktails in the city. New in 2011, the Island Creek Oyster Bar, an upscale seafood restaurant that doesn't hide its fish shack roots, is already winning high praise from diners and the national press alike. Wi-Fi is free.

My daughter and I were in Boston for 3 days and stayed at this elegant hotel. From the moment we arrived everyone was absolutely kind, helpful and so very very pleasant. The room was magnificent and sparkling clean. the help just could not do enough for you and so very very polite. It cost a few dollars more, but worth every penny, believe me I am fussy. Feel like a kind and queen for a day or two. you deserve it!!!!

I've been coming here since our daughter started at Boston Univ. It gets better each time! It isn't cheap, but the rooms are incredibly luxurious, and the service is impecable without being stuffy. I prefer the Fenway view, and you can walk to the ballpark in about two minutes. There is a T stop right below the hotel, and the restaurants are great. The hotel has a limo that can drop you off around Boston if you ask in advancd.
