French with a Latin twist—odd bedfellows, but it works for this cozy red bistro. The dinner menu gets serious, with rum-glazed pork over gingered sweet potato puree and sinfully sweet desserts like chocolate bread pudding. At the snug bar you can sample conch fritters, grilled homemade chorizo, and a pressed Cuban sandwich. The place fills quickly with Cantabrigian locals—an interesting mix of students, professors, and sundry intelligentsia.

A very good, somewhat upscale French-Cuban fusion spot with a bistro atmosphere and solid service, a favorite of professorial types. The Cuban sandwich served at the bar is among the area's best. It's several blocks walk from the Harvard Square T-stop.
