Fodor's Review

Folks from all over flock to this inviting, votive-lit neighborhood bistro near Cambridge's Inman Square to savor co-owner chef Keith Pooler's magical ways with seasonal New England ingredients. Masterpieces include candy-sweet roasted beets with orange and pistachios, crispy duck confit salad with red wine vinaigrette, and perfectly-cooked local hake over a raft of Swiss chard, golden raisins, and pine nuts. In addition to a well-curated wine list, the classic and modern cocktails are terrific, the service warm and friendly, and the desserts well worth indulging in, whether it's satiny cocoa panna cotta with hazelnut streusel or buttery pear-toffee cake. The nightly three-course prix fixe blackboard menu offers excellent value ($39).
