Fodor's Review

Decked out in cheery Christmas colors of red and green due to a recent renovation, this is, believe it or not, a real, seaside clam shack located smack dab in the middle of Boston with stunning views of the financial district (and prices to match). An outdoor lobster tent in summer, in winter it retreats indoors to a warmhearted version of a waterfront dive, with chestnuts roasting on a cozy woodstove. Look for the classic New England clambake—chowder, Maine lobster, steamed Cape Cod clams, corn on the cob—or oysters and littlenecks from the raw bar, followed by meaty, golden crab cakes. The "all things local" motto even includes drinks, like unique quaffs from nearby Harpoon Brewery.
