Chef-owner Alia Radjeb Meddeb spent her childhood years in France and Tunisia—a fact reflected sharply in her menu at this tiny, casual eatery that could easily be her home. Imagine chickpea custard with harissa (hot sauce) tapenade, spicy lamb and beef sausages, and seven-vegetable couscous served with a flavorful broth. No alcohol is served, but after a few sips of her spiced lemonade with rose petals, you won't care.

One of very few North African spots (Tunisian, with French influences) in the Boston area. Very good and unusual food, try the lemonade with rose petals. Decor is rather functional, seating can be tight, service can be hit or miss. Still, worth finding.
