Fodor's Review

A good alternative to chain-owned, big-box Back Bay hotels, the family-owned Lenox with top-notch service continues to please a well-groomed clientele. A T stop is right across the street, making the hotel a good launching pad for exploring the city sans car. Readers appreciate the Lenox's sweet, small touches, like cookies and bottled water at turn-down service, and give kudos to the friendly staff. Standard guest rooms, which were renovated in 2015, have custom-made furnishings, marble baths, and flat-screen TVs (suites have mirror TVs in their bathrooms). Of the many spacious corner rooms, more than 50 come with working fireplaces. With three food and beverage outlets in the hotel, 24-hour room service, fitness center, and business center, a guest can find all they need under the roof of this boutique hotel.
