Fodor's Review:
Modeled after a castle in Scotland, this supremely elegant 1902 manor house sits amid nearly 100 acres of manicured lawns and woodlands. The restaurant ($$$$; reservations essential; jacket and tie) serves upscale country-house fare -- no cream or heavy sauces, light on the butter. A typical entrée might be roasted Arctic char with fennel confit, crispy potatoes, mussels, crab, and saffron. After-dinner coffee and cognac are served in the music room, where a harpist plays.
