If you haven't found a good place to picnic along Route 8 by the time you reach Becket, and you don't mind walking on a slightly rough trail, follow Route 8 through Becket to the junction with Route 20, cross over to Bonny Rigg Hill Road and follow the signs to Becket Land Trust and Historic Quarry. An integral part of Becket history, the Quarry was essential to the town's development, and it remains a hidden treasure for today's hikers.
