$$$-$$$$, Lenox
Fodor's Review:
Overlooking the Stockbridge bowl and the Berkshire Hills, this restored 1885 farmhouse provides colorful country-theme rooms and suites, many with fireplaces. The main house is far more tempting than the attached lodge, though the latter is closer to the pool, which has one of the best views in the Berkshires. Breakfast is served in the gazebo-shape dining room, which has panoramic mountain views. The oak-beamed tavern is a great place to order a brew and mull over all the reasons you should move to the Berkshires.
