Run by the same owners as Lenox's trendy Bistro Zinc, Pearl's adds a dash of big-city atmosphere to the Berkshires with its pressed-tin ceilings, tall booths, exposed-brick walls, and well-coiffed crowd. The menu updates the old bigger-is-better steak-house tradition by serving thick-and-tender chops, prime rib, wild game, raw oysters, and fresh lobsters with innovative ingredients. Call ahead for a table on weekends, or simply hobnob and sip well-chosen wines and creative drinks at the elegant bar.

I've dined at Pearl 3 or 4 times, and always had excellent service. The fried chicken is wonderful there, and the steaks are excellent. On one occasion, my steak was cooked too rare for me. I complained. They brought me a complimentary app, while i waited for a new steak (since my spouse already had his food), and then brought me a new one, perfectly cooked. So even with a minor problem, it was perfectly handled.
I like the sleek interiors, and the live music is generally pleasant.
