Part of the Massachusetts Audubon Society's system, the Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary abounds with beaver ponds, meadows, hardwood forests, and woodlands. Its 1,400 acres and 7 mi of trails offer excellent bird- and beaver-watching. Hiking trails are open for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. 472 W.
