Antiques adorn the parlor of this 1870s Tudor-style mansion, alongside items picked up on the innkeepers' world travels, adding a touch of the exotic. The 4,000-volume library, formal parlor, and gracious dining room all impress, and in summer, musicians from Tanglewood sometimes play informally in the music room, which contains an 1898 Steinway grand piano and furniture from the palace of the French king Louis XVI. Designer drapes and bedspreads suit guest rooms, three of which have working fireplaces. The carriage house is open May–October; one of its rooms is decorated in an African style, another in a Southwestern style. The inn sits amid 7 beautiful acres of gardens and woods across from Kennedy Park.
