Fodor's Review

The 1912 summer cottage of Harley Proctor (as in Proctor and Gamble) has had numerous owners during its tenure as a country inn, but current innkeepers Michele and Eiran Gazit have put in thousands of dollars of renovations that make it look better than ever. All 12 rooms have been upgraded in various ways, including large-screen TVs. Rooms come in a variety of configurations and styles, most with working fireplaces, detailed moldings, and plush carpeting. La Terrazza, which offers late-night dining in summer, was a favorite hangout for painter Norman Rockwell. Sadly, Rockwell missed out on the spacious new piano bar with lots of comfortable seating.
