The spotlight is on wine at Cinghiale (pronounced "ching-GYAH-lay"), an open, inviting space with tall, wide windows. It's one of Baltimore's best upscale spots for northern Italian fare. Enjoy hand-cut pastas such as tagliatelle with tender chicken, greens, and walnuts, or lasagna with veal ragu. The wine list is vast—more than 600 bottles, grouped on the menu by region. Service here is sharp and unpretentious. Cinghiale is split into two sections, the elegant osteria and the less-formal enoteca. There is no dress code in the latter; in the osteria, jackets for men are suggested but not required.
