Top Reasons to Go

Explore a revitalized addition to the Inner Harbor. Today even more warehouses and parking lots have been converted, making this former industrial area a hot place for shops, a movie theater, and trendy restaurants. There's plenty to do in the newest addition to the decades-old Inner Harbor, called Harbor East.

Tour the area on two wheels. The Gwynns Falls Trail connects thousands of acres of wilderness in and around the city. It's a prime spot for hiking and biking.

See comics and collector's items up close. Geppi's Entertainment Museum in Camden Yards pays homage to hundreds of years of pop culture with thousands of comic books, films, toys, and more.

Get wild and zany at Honfest. Join in the fun when, for one weekend each June, thousands gussy up to celebrate Honfest in Hampden in traditional classic Hon attire: beehive hairdos and cat's-eye glasses

Crack 'em and eat 'em like a Baltimorean. Baltimore loves crabs, especially at Bo Brooks in Canton—one of the city's best crab houses—where you can crack into a piping-hot crustacean year-round.

Taste the country's first tiramisu. Piedigrotta Bakery, which has a stall in the Cross Street Market, claims to have invented tiramisu. Try it for yourself—a big wedge is only a couple of bucks.
