The Bangor Daily News is published weekdays. Other weekly newspapers in the region include the Calais Advertiser, Downeast Coastal Press (Cutler), Machias Valley News Observer, and the twice-monthly Quoddy Tides (Eastport). WMEH 90.0 and WMED 89.7 are the local National Public Radio affiliates. WLBZ, channel 2, is the NBC affiliate. WVII, channel 7, is the ABC affiliate. WABI, channel 5, is the CBS affiliate. WMEB, channel 12, and WMED, channel 13, are the Maine Public Broadcasting affiliates.
