Peacock House Review
Five generations of the Peacock family lived in this 1860 sea captain's home before it was converted into an inn. With a large foyer, library, and living room, the white-clapboard house has plenty of places where you can relax. Minglers are drawn to the sunroom, which opens to the deck and has a handsome bar. Antique pieces accent the tasteful, uncluttered decor. The best of the guest rooms is essentially an open-plan suite, with a separate sitting area, wet bar, refrigerator, gas fireplace, and four-poster bed.
