Burnham Tavern Museum

Fodor's Review:

The Burnham Tavern Museum, housed in a building dating from 1770, details the colorful history of Job Burnham and other early residents of the area. It was in this tavern that the men of Machias laid the plans that culminated in the capture of the Margaretta in 1775. Period furnishings show what life was like in Colonial times.

  • Cost: $5
